High Point Baptist Academy faces the difficult challenge of keeping tuition affordable every year. Developing a growing scholarship fund to assist families in overcoming their respective financial hurdles and to make Christian education a reality for families, who otherwise couldn’t afford it, is of great importance to us. For years we’ve relied on the generosity of donors who also believe that an education saturated in a Christian worldview should be available to families regardless of their financial status.
The good news is we have the potential to grow such a scholarship fund through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This program provides eligible businesses with up to a 90% state tax credit for making a contribution through an approved EITC scholarship organization. This contribution is in lieu of tax dollars you already send to the state of Pennsylvania every year. Instead, you can designate your taxes to benefit High Point Baptist Academy and provide scholarships to students in need. This program benefits both schools and businesses!
Your business is eligible to participate if you meet one of the following criteria:
- Corporate Net Income Tax
- Capital Stock Franchise Tax
- Insurance Premium Tax
- Bank & Trust Company Shares Tax
- Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax
- Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
- Personal income tax of S corporation shareholders, partnership partners, and limited liability company members
