Our History

High Point Baptist Academy came into existence in September 1972 as an educational ministry of High Point Baptist Chapel. The purpose of the Academy is to glorify God through evangelizing, edifying, and the educating of young people.

In its first year, enrollment was 49 students in grades K-6 under the instruction of four teachers. The second year, 149 students and nine teachers were involved as the program expended to ninth grade. By the third year, the Academy began with a full complement of grades and 300 students under the direction of 17 staff members.

High Point has now proudly graduated over 1,500 students, with more than 80% continuing on into various post-secondary education opportunities each year. For over 50 years, the Academy has been dedicated to accomplishing their noble goal of assisting parents in the holistic development of young lives, all for the glory of God.
