Theme Verse: Matthew 22:37-39

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

At High Point Baptist Academy, this theme is more than just a yearly motto—it is the foundation of our identity and mission. We are committed to deeply unpacking these powerful words by Jesus with our students, encouraging them to understand and live out this calling in their daily lives.

Our goal is for every student, family member, and community partner to recognize that loving God wholeheartedly and loving others sincerely is the heartbeat of our school culture. This theme shapes everything we do—from how we teach and learn, to how we interact with one another, to how we serve and impact our wider community.

We want “Love God, Love People” to be more than words on a bracelet or t-shirt; we want it to be an anthem that reflects who we are as a school community. When people ask, “What is High Point Baptist Academy all about?” we want the proud and joyful answer to be, “Loving God and Loving People.”

Part of communicating and partnering with parents is through the understanding and acknowledgement of expectations and policy. Parents and students will be receiving a sign off form the first day of school.

The Agreement and Acknowledgement form contains the following:

  • We agree to follow its guidelines, expectations, and biblical principles.

  • We accept that the school may update the handbook and will inform us of major changes.

  • We commit to using proper procedures for concerns about academics, behavior, or communication.

  • We agree to abide by the school’s technology and digital citizenship policies.

  • Finally, we support HPBA’s mission of discipleship-based education and its spiritual and academic goals.
