Weekly Update: September 19, 2025
Students in 1st-8th grade have taken a Star Reading computer-adaptive reading test. This report summarizes your child's scores on the test. As with any test, many factors can affect a student's scores. It is important to understand that these test scores provide only one picture of how your child is doing in school. We will be using these Star Reading test scores to help your child further develop his/her reading skills for reading practice at school. If you have any questions about your child's scores or these recommendations, please contact their teacher at your convenience.
Secondary students are invited to join us for a special morning of worship and prayer at the flag pole on September 24 from 7:30-8:00.
Stop by at drop off to shop the FREE selection of uniforms. Please park in the visitor parking spots in front of the church entrance and check in at the Academy Office.
To better support our students early this year, we are proactively organizing tutoring and mentoring opportunities. We believe in the power of students supporting one another—whether through academic help or positive mentorship—and have witnessed amazing growth and strong friendships develop from these relationships.
How You Can Help:
If you feel your child could benefit from tutoring in areas such as homework, test review, or study habits, or if they would benefit from having a mentor for encouragement and friendship, please let us know.
We are also seeking students who excel academically or demonstrate kindness and leadership to serve as tutors or mentors.
Please send your child’s name, grade, and the type of support needed (tutoring or mentoring, with subject or focus area) to Mrs. Kauffman, and we will begin matching students promptly.
Thank you for your partnership in this important ministry and for helping us foster both academic success and character development in our students.
To improve safety and efficiency during student pickup and drop-off, we have designated an additional assistance lane nearest to the school building. This lane will be labeled with signage and is intended to help students who may need extra support during drop off and pick up.
Examples of when to use the assistance lane:
Parents helping younger students safely exit the car.
Students carrying large projects or heavy items who need extra time or help bringing them into the school.
Important Reminders:
Please use the lane nearest the school if you require additional assistance.
Drivers in the other two lanes are kindly asked to remain inside their vehicles at all times for the safety of all students, staff, and families.
Following these guidelines will help us maintain a smooth and safe flow of traffic and ensure everyone’s safety.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our campus safe!
