The HPBA kindergarten classes are established to lay a proper foundation for elementary school. Students are taught phonetic awareness and early reading proficiency, as well as number sense and beginning math skills. Kindergarten students also participate in library, art, music, and physical education programs.
The elementary program (grades 1-5) is designed to lay the essential academic foundation that each child needs in the fundamentals of reading, writing, mathematics, history and science. Bible instruction and Christian values are incorporated into daily teaching, and students have their own chapel service every week. Physical education, art, music, Spanish, computer proficiency and library classes round out the students’ educational experience.
