Sharon Caughill
Sharon enjoys helping in the office at school. A couple decades ago she taught at High Point Academy and has fond memories of directing plays. She is also the wife of the lead pastor at High Point and says, “She is enjoying getting to know the many school families from various churches involved with the Academy.”
She was born in Colorado, grew up in Iowa, and met her husband at college in Wisconsin where she graduated with a degree in Speech Education and Bible. Nearly four decades ago she moved to Geigertown. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, reading, watching a good movie (especially mindless comedy), and eating Thai or Mexican food.
Paul and Sharon have three children, all graduates of High Point Academy. The oldest, David and Kerri and their four children live in Stuart, Florida. The middle and only daughter, Laura, and Philip Von (on staff at High Point Baptist Chapel) have four children and live at High Point camp. The youngest, Daniel and Meghan, live in New York City.
Sharon enjoys encouraging the students of High Point Academy. Through her years of life experience, she relates and sympathizes with the battles the students face growing up in today’s world. It is her joy to communicate to everyone how utterly faithful our God is and how utterly trustworthy the Bible is. Her favorite phrase is “keep shining”.
