STUDENT GOVERNMENT (6th-12th)
The purpose of High Point’s student government is to give our secondary students an opportunity to develop leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to our school’s environment, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school-wide community. Procedures are based on a government type system with voting, bylaws, procedures, etc. Ideas are presented, voted upon and confirmed by the student body president.
